5.3 COMPACT Display
5.3.1 Overview
COMPACT display is an optional device which can be connected to the AC-M1 via LIN
network and can be used for diagnostic and calibration purposes; in fact it shows
information about the system main analogue and digital parameters.
The exact list of these parameters depends on the specific application, but for example it
may include: truck speed, park brake selection, steering angle, seat switch closure,
maintenance period expiry, low speed insertion, battery charge level, energetic operating
mode.
Two important function are the following:

Diagnostic mode. This operating mode allows to test main analogical and digital
signals managed by your system. Moreover, if an alarm condition occurs, SME
COMPACT display can show the alarm code and help understand the cause of the
fault.

Parameter Calibration. This procedure allows to adjust the main operating
parameters of the system. Calibration mode can be entered before working as
usual with the lift truck and it is also possible to update the parameters with default
values (notice this way you lose the previous calibration values).
This is a brief introduction to SME COMPACT display. The presence of such
devices is optional and, when present, the functions implemented depend
heavily upon the specific application. Please, refer to the specific COMPACT
display manual for more information about it.
