13.7 TROUBLESHOOTING
In some cases it is possible to remedy minor problems with the aid of the following instructions.
1. If the program does not start, check that:
The device is connected to the electrical mains.
There is no power outage.
The water intake taps are turned on.
The device door is properly closed.
2. If water stagnates in the chamber of the device, make sure that:
The drain hose is not kinked.
The drain trap is not blocked.
The washing chamber filters are not clogged.
3. If the items in the load for washing in general are not cleaned properly, make sure that:
The correct amount of detergent has been added.
The instruments have been positioned correctly.
The program selected is suitable for the type and degree of dirt on the instruments.
All filters are clean and correctly installed.
The spray arm water outlet holes are not clogged.
There is nothing obstructing the rotation of the spray arms.
Check that the salt container cap is properly closed.
4. If the items in the load fail to dry or are dull, check:
Absolute drying filter condition: operating hours can be viewed as an device parameter (the default operating
hours are set for normal conditions of use; the drying filter’s working life will be reduced by dirtier than average
environments).
There is neutralising agent in the container and its dispensing setting is correct.
The detergent used is of good quality and has not lost its effectiveness (for example, through incorrect storage,
with the box left open).
5. If the elements processed are smeared, stained, etc. make sure that:
The rinse aid dispenser setting is not too high.
Check that the salt container cap is properly closed.
6. If there are traces of rust in the chamber:
The chamber is made of corrosion-proof steel, so any rust marks are generally due to external factors (pieces of
rust from the water pipes, etc.). Special products are available to remove marks of this kind.
Check that the detergent dose being used is correct. Some detergents may be corrosive.
Check that the salt container cap is properly closed.
7. If the optional printer does not work:
Check that the accessory is fitted with suitable thermal paper.
Check that the device is connected properly (both electricity supply and data connection).
8. If the device interface remains off or locked out even if the switch is correctly turned to ON:
Wait a few seconds, the display card might be initialising.
If the display still does not come on after a few moments (screen completely dark): do not touch the buttons –
switch the device off using the main switch. Wait at least 10 seconds after switching off before switching back on
again.
If the display does not reset correctly and remains "dead": contact the after-sales service, as no procedures are
possible on the device if the interface is not active and correctly operational.
If the problem persists after following the troubleshooting instructions above, call your authorised after-sales service.
