INTRODUCTION
The
Snapper
1650
&
1650A
Garden
Tractors
are
equipped
with
a
16
horsepower,
air-cooled,
four-cycle
engine
and
are
driven
by
a
hydrostatic
transmission
in
combination
with
a
two-speed
rear
axle.
PTO
driven
implements
are
controlled
by
an
electric
clutch,
which
is
driven
by
engine
front
PTO
shaft.
Mounted
implements
are
raised
and
lowered
by
a
hydraulic
lift.
Rear
PTO,
which
is
standard
on
1650A
and
optional
on
1650
models,
is
controlled
by
a
belt
idler
clutch.
Tractors
are
equipped
with
headlights,
twin
tail
lights
and
electric
starter.
A
variety
of
front,
mid
and
rear
mounted
implements
are
usable
with
machine.
This
Manual
contains
two
sections
regarding
care
of
Tractor.
"Maintenance"
Section
is
concerned
with
usual
servicing
procedures,
requiring
average
mechanical
ability.
"Servicing"
Section
discusses
more
com¬
plex
procedures,
requiring
above
average
mechanical
ability
and
tools.
Although
all
service
must
be
per¬
formed
in
a
competent
manner,
it
is
recommended
that
procedures
discussed
in
"Servicing"
Section
be
performed
by
able
mechanics,
such
as
those
available
at
Snapper
Dealers.
All
directions,
left
or
right,
are
when
seated
on
Tractor
seat.

AND
