How to fix communication issues with my SolarEdge Controller?
    • J
      Janet FlemingJul 28, 2025
If your SolarEdge Controller's LCD inverter displays an asterisk (*) next to the Device type, or SetApp inverters show a 'Not connected' error, or the number of detected devices doesn't match the number of communicating devices, and the blue LED is OFF, it indicates the device isn't associated with the inverter. Try turning the device OFF and then ON, and recheck communication. If that doesn't work, turn the device OFF, remove it from the Device Manager screen, and repeat the discovery process. Note that reconfiguration may be required. If the problem persists, contact SolarEdge support.

    • K
      Kyle MartinezAug 20, 2025
If your SolarEdge Controller isn't providing hot water, verify that the circuit breaker is ON and any manual ON/OFF switch in series with the Smart Energy Hot Water is also ON. Ensure the configured schedules are set to deliver power and that the load is properly connected. As a troubleshooting step, try turning the device OFF and then ON, and recheck communication.
