When To Use The STEREO Switch
If you are recording a single source (a single microphone into one channel)
or two independent sources (such as a microphone on the first channel and
a guitar on the second channel), leave the STEREO switch unpressed, so
that you hear the sources in the middle of the stereo image. However, when
you are recording a stereo source such as the left and right sides of a
keyboard (coming into channels 1 and 2 respectively), then pressing the
