You can locate the portion with the highest input level of a
disc to adjust the recording level.
Before starting play, press the PEAK SEARCH button.
"PEAK" blinks in the display as the peak search begins
functioning.
Upon completing the search, the unit starts repeating the
portion with the peak volume so that you can adjust the
recording level.
To cancel the peak search
-- Press the • button. "PEAK" disappears from the display.
-- Press the I_11(11)button once to put the unit into pause
mode at the beginning of the first selection.
-- Press the •11 button twice (or the • button once) to start
play from the first selection.
On peaksearch
Theunitscansinputlevelsofthewholediscanddeterminesthepeak(maximum
inputlevel)amongthem.Thepeakdeterminedwiththisfunctionissometimesslightly
differentfromthe realone.Inaddition,portionsdeterminedasa peakvaryeachtime
thisfunctioniscarriedoutonthesamedisc.Thedifferencebetweenthedetermined
andtherealpeakis however,negligibleandwillnotpreventyoufromadjustingthe
recordinglevel.
