PRECAUTION

Clean

Demagnetize
the
record/playback
head
with
a
head
demagnetizer.
(Do
not
bring
the
head
demagnetizer
close
to the
erase
head.)
3.
Do
not use
a
magnetized
screwdriver
for the
adjustments'
4.
After
the
adiustments.
apply
suitable
locking
compound
to
the
Parts
adjusted.
5.
The
adjustments
should
be
performed
with
the
rated
power supply
voltage
unless
otherwise
noted'

prepare
an adjust-
ment cassette
as
shown
below.
Place
the set
into the
FWD
playback mode.
Loosen
the
FWD
tape
guide locking
screw.
Use
appropriate
head
height
adjustment
shims
and
adjust
the
head
height
so
that
there
is no taPe
curl
or
twist.
Place
the
set
into the
REV
playback mode
Loosen
the
REV
tape
guide
locking
screw.
Use
appropriate
head
height
adjustment
shims
and
adjust
the
head
height
so
that
there
is no
tape
curl
or twist.
After
adjustment,
lock the
tape
guide locking
screws'
