Deciding the still
image quality
You can select the still image quality from
[Fine] (high quality) or [Standard].
This camera is equipped with other
methods to select the image quality. You
can select these settings using the [Mode]
(REC Mode) item in the menu. These
items are as follows: [RAW] which records
raw data (page 79), [TIFF] which records
uncompressed data (page 80).
MENU Mode dial

Set the mode dial to P, S, A, M
or SCN.
Press MENU.
The menu appears.
Select (P.Quality) with /,
then select the desired image
quality with /.

Creating or selecting
a folder
Your camera can create multiple folders
within a recording medium. You can
select the folder used to store images
before shooting, which is convenient for
organizing images.
When not creating a new folder,
“101MSDCF” folder is selected as the
recording folder.
You can create folders up to “999MSDCF”.
Control button Mode dial
/CF switch
Up to 4,000 images can be stored in one folder.
When the folder capacity is exceeded, a new
folder is automatically created.
