4 CH TAPE ...for listening to discrete four-channe! tape connect-
- ed to the 4 CH TAPE RECORDER TAPE inputs.
for listening to fm/a-m, phono, or auxiliary program
sources connected to the front amplifier.
2 CH TAPE .. for listening to two-channel tape connected to the
2CH TAPE RECORDER TAPE inputs (the DISCRETE
switch must be released).
SOURCE
PHASE INVERTER switch (on the rear panel)
Reverses the front amplifier phasing to make front and back
amplifiers in-phase. Refer to page 20 “Phasing Checks on
Speakers and Amplifiers’.
Input LEVEL ADJUST contro! (on the rear panel)
To prevent decoder circuit overload, this knob controls the signa!
level at the FRONT PREAMP INPUTs. Refer to the following
“Input Level Adjustment”.
PRELIMINARY ADJUSTMENTS
1. Input Level Adjustment
To prevent decoder overload, adjust the input signal level at
the FRONT PREAMP INPUT jacks as follows (refer to the illustra-
tion on page 24):
1. Turn both front and back amplifier volume controls and the
SQD-2020’s MASTER VOLUME contro! fully counterclockwise.
2. Turn on the SQD-2020 and the front amplifier.
3. Turn the four FRONT and BACK LEVEL controls and the rear
panel Input LEVEL ADJUST control fully clackwise.
