PART Ⅲ : Maintenance
3A. Troubleshooting Guide
any trouble occurs, first check the basic operation method.
Check the electrical circuits.
Check that the gas supply pressure is proper.
Check whether all control devices are properly set up.
If abnormality is not caused by outside of the burner, check each part of the burner.
Trouble Cause Measure
Burner not started
- Check power input (controller lamp on status) - 220 V input
- Check the on/off S/W state of the burner front - On state
- Check boiler pressure (temperature) S/W - Check
- Check the gas supply pressure (check valve open) - Check the front-end pressure of the gas valve
- Check the burner fan thermal relay (crtv) - Set according to rated current of the motor
No ignition
- Initial gas level is too low - Adjust
- Bad ignition transformer - Attempt the re-ignition
- Disconnection of electrode connection line - Check
- Cannot open/close the safety shutoff valve - Replacement
- Inadequate air/gas ratio - Re-adjust
Flame detection failed
(Flame is generated
but locks out within 3
seconds)
- Short circuit of flame detection connecting line - Check
- Inappropriate flame detector fixed position - Adjustment
- Weak flame detection signal current - Check
- Soot in the flame detector - Clean
- Flame detector is contacted to the grounding - Adjustment
- Burner controller failure - Replacement
Repeated sequence
without ignition after
starting the burner
- Improper gas pressure (lower limit, upper limit) s/w
setting input
- Adjustment
- Bad gas governor - Clean the regulator, replace if abnormal
Misfire during
operation
- Flame detector anomaly - Replacement
- Inappropriate wind pressure s/w set pressure - Adjustment
- Bad wind pressure s/w - Replacement
- Poor air-fuel ratio - Adjust air-fuel ratio
- Bad controller - Replacement
- Bad gas valve - Replacement
