Piston Pump and Motor Installation Instructions
Please ensure the following tasks are carried out prior to operation, failure to do so will result
in severe damage to the pump/motor.
Procedure:
• The motor/pump case must be filled to at least ¾ of the volume through the case
drain port (1/2” BSP) with clean 46-grade hydraulic oil for lubrication.
• Check that all connections are secure and that the entire system is completely clean
• Ensure check valve (0.5 bar) is installed the correct way between motor and drain
hose, to allow excess oil out
Fill casing of pump with oil to protect
internal components, through drain
plug in top of pump casing.
Fill casing of motor with oil to protect
internal components, through drain
hose fitting on side of motor. Install
check valve between hose and
motor.
Warning
It is important to ensure that the system is kept free from contamination
whilst hoses etc are removed, severe damage can be caused by the
ingress of dirt.
