1. Power off library
2. Disconnect network cabling to LCM and remove any USB devices (if present)
3. Loosen screws and remove LCM from chassis
4. Slide new LCM into empty slot, making sure it is seated properly
5. Tighten screws to secure LCM
6. Reconnect network cabling
7. Power on library
8. Check system messages screen for firmware mismatch error message
If firmware mismatch reported, contact Spectra Technical Support
Library will not function properly until firmware mismatch is resolved
9. Select Controller (LCM) when prompted by the user interface
10. If necessary, restore previously saved library configuration and MLM/DLM database
from USB flash drive
Insert USB flash drive into any LCM USB slot
In BlueScale, login as a superuser or administrator, navigate to and run the
following utilities:
Maintenance > Utilities > Show Advanced > Next > Restore Library
Configuration from USB > select configuration file to restore from drop-down
list > Run
Maintenance > Utilities > Show Advanced > Next > Restore MLM Database from
USB > Select > Next > select database file to restore from drop-down list > Run
Remove USB flash drive
11. If previously saved library configuration is not available, customer must manually
reconfigure library (reference T50e User Manual)
12. Create an Auto-support Log File (ASL) and forward to Spectra Technical Support
Obtain permission from customer prior to performing this step
ASL’s do not contain sensitive customer information such as passwords,
encryption keys etc.
