Installation
The pump contains internal moving
parts. DO NOT put hands or fingers into
the pump body ports or drive area at any
time during operation. To avoid serious
injury, DO NOT install, clean, service, or
repair the pump unless all power is off
and locked out and the pump is de-
pressurized.
Unpack all parts of your equipment and inspect for damages that
ma
y have occurred during shipping. Report any damage to the
carrier. See “Shipping Damage or Loss” on page 6.
All ports are covered at the factory to keep out foreign objects
du
ring transit. If the covers are missing or damaged, remove the
pump cover and thoroughly inspect the fluid head. Be sure the
pumping head is clean and free of foreign material before rotating
the shaft.
Pump Location
1. Locate the pump as near as practical to the liquid supply.
2. Keep the supply piping short and straight to keep the pump
sup
plied with liquid and prevent damaging cavitation.
3. Locate the pump so that it is accessible for service and
in
spection during operation.
4. Protect the motor from flooding.
Pump Leveling
