  If your STA-RITE Water Pump is experiencing reduced capacity, consider the following: * There may be air pockets or leaks in the suction line. Inspect the suction piping and valve glands on any suction gate valves. * The impeller might be clogged. Clean any debris from the impeller. If you can't remove the debris, you can remove the diffuser and o-ring, then remove the reverse-thread impeller screw and o-ring. After that remove, clean and reinstall impeller. Reinstall reverse-thread impeller screw and o-ring. Reinstall diffuser, and o-ring. Reinstall motor and seal plate into volute. Reinstall seal plate nuts and volute and tighten securely. * The pump strainer pot could be clogged. Clean the pump strainer pot.
