Why is my Standard Paper folding machine not folding correctly?

  The folding result may be poor due to several reasons. The feed guides might be improperly set; adjust them to be right-angled with the front guide and parallel to each other. A fold roller spring could be loose, in which case you should replace it. The stopper in the buckle might be improperly set; with the power off and the power cord unplugged, ensure the leading edge of the sheet is parallel to the buckle stopper. Fold rollers might be dirty with ink, so clean them with an alcohol-soaked cloth. Sheets might be jammed in the buckle, so remove any jammed sheets. Support rollers might be improperly set, so readjust their position. The feed roller or double feed stop pad may be worn out, so replace them. Finally, a fold roller might be worn out, so replace it.

  If the PF-P310 does not work with the start or test feed button, the start/stop button may be broken; consider replacing the switch or the entire P.C. Board. Alternatively, the feed clutch solenoid may not be positioned properly; adjust its position so that the clearance between the clutch lever and clutch stopper is 0.5 to 1 mm (0.02" to 0.04") while the feed clutch solenoid is on. Another possibility is that the sheet presence microswitch on top of the feed tray is broken, not positioned properly, or the connector is not connected properly; check the microswitch position or replace it after removing the feed tray.

  If sheets are not being folded correctly with a single fold, it may be because the deflector is deformed or the deflector drive solenoid is not positioned properly. Adjust the deflector so that the clearance between the 2nd drive roller and the deflector is 0.9 to 1.3 mm (0.03" to 0.06") from the drive side to the operation side.

Why doesn't the counter work on my Standard Paper folding machine?

  If the counter isn't counting sheets, the count sensor might be dirty; try cleaning the sensor. If the sheet size is irregular or the fold pattern isn't regular, select a short fold or accordion fold using the select button to provide an interval between each sheet. Also, check if a sheet is jammed in the sensor section or buckle and remove any jammed sheets.
