Operation Manual of DTS27 Three-phase Energy Meter
15
seconds.
4.13 Overload
If the load continually exceeds the power threshold for a specified period, the energy confirms it as overload.
The default overload threshold is 59.4 kW, and the default detect period is 300 seconds (5minutes), both the 2
parameters are configurable.
After the overload is confirmed, the internal breaker will disconnect automatically. The disconnection mechanism
is as follows:
1) After disconnection due to overload, the energy will try to reconnect the breaker up to 5 times, with 60
seconds interval.
2) If the consumption is still more than the programmed threshold, it will lock out and wait for 30 minutes
(lock out period).
3) If the consumption is still above the threshold, the procedure as defined above in 1) and 2) shall be repeated.
The number of re-connection attempts, time interval between reconnection and lock-out period can be
programmable.
4.14 Tamper Detection
The energy meter has the ability to detect the tamper attempts, such as upper cover opening, terminal cover
opening, strong magnetic disturbance, power direction reversed, etc. Except that to record these tamper attempts,
the energy meter can be programmed to disconnect the relay when some specified tamper event occurs.
The upper cover opening, terminal cover opening and power direction revered can trigger the relay to disconnect
by default, it is configurable.
Any magnetic influence of above the IEC requirement will trigger the magnetic sensors to create an event log
and push the event through the communication system and initiate the Imax
4.15 LED Indicator
The energy meter has 4 LED indicators:
Active LED: Pulse indicator, 1000 imp/kWh.
Reactive LED: Pulse indicator, 1000 imp/kvarh..
Alarm LED: Alarm indicator, it blinks when the abnormal event occurs.
Power LED: This LED indicator will be always on when the meter is power supplied.
4.16 Communication
Optical port: 9600bps of the baud rate, 8N1 of the data format. The communication port complies with the
IEC62056-21 standard and follows the DLMS/COSEM protocol and adopts the direct HDLC to connect,
and via the host computer, the user can read the energy data, demand data, event record and billing data and
read and set the functional configuration parameters.
4.17 Security
Every meter has a unique password to verify the legality of access, and the password can be configured.
If someone tries to access meter with wrong password, meter will refuse it, and record an event with time
stamp.
Furthermore, if you want to change meter parameters, of course you need to provide correct password.
