4.18 Punishment energy
There is a punishment energy register to record tampering energy. When meter works normally, no tampering
condition detected, meter will measure and accumulate energy normally, but when magnetic field detected, meter
will measure energy with Imax; when the tampering condition removed, meter will measure energy normally at
once.
5 Display of the energy meter
5.1 LCD backlight
The LCD of the meter has backlight to facilitate the user or the power supply manager to check the operating
parameters on site. Press the button in the normal operating status, the LCD will enable the backlight. After the
backlight is triggered by the button, it will go out 60s later if no operation is applied.
5.2 Symbol description
5.2.1 The displayed content description
1. Active direction: Indicate the energy being measured currently and the energy direction
2. Communications indication: When the energy meter is under communications then the symbol is visible.
3. Symbol reserved.
4. Upper cover opening: Indicate the upper cover status in real time, when the upper cover is open then the
symbol is visible, otherwise the symbol is invisible.
5. Terminal cover opening: Indicate the terminal cover status in real time, when the terminal cover is open
then the symbol is visible, otherwise the symbol is invisible.
6. Tariff: Indicates the tariff rate T1,T2,T3,T4.
7. Tamper Status.

9. Phase voltage and the energy consumption symbol: L1,L2 and L3 represent the voltage of phase A,B and C
respectively. The symbol is visible in the presence of phase line, and the symbol is invisible in the absence
of phase line. The arrow presents the energy consumption direction, rightward for import consumption,
