8.3 Example of Connection to a Status Scientific Controls Traffic Light Unit
The above example shows the MCU being used to control a traffic light unit that for example, may be used outside the entry door of a building.
This configuration uses the common alarm level relay contacts for alarm levels 1 & 2 such that if any channel reaches an alarm level then either
the Amber or Red light is illuminated and the sounder operated. The relays are configured to be energised in the healthy state. The green light is
illuminated via the normally open contacts of RL1a, RL2a and the Fault relay contacts RL4a.
