PLAYING RECORDS
Before playing any records:
Please ensure the round black turntable mat supplied is placed on the platter
to avoid the record slipping.
Also make sure the white protective stylus cover has been removed to
expose the stylus. To remove it, hold the tone arm head with one hand and
carefully pull the cover off towards the front of the unit.
See ‘IMPORTANT NOTES in this Manual regarding the Transit Screw (3).
1) Turn the OFF/VOLUME control knob (27) in a clockwise direction until a
“click” is heard, and set the Volume to a medium level.
2) Set the Function selector (AM/FM/PH/

, 45* or 78rpm).
Note*: If you wish to play a 45rpm ‘single’, which has the centre part missing, lift
off the 45rpm adaptor (2) off the turntable deck and place it on the Spindle of the
turntable platter. The 45rpm record can now be placed on the turntable.
4) Place your record on the centre spindle of the Turntable Platter. Push the
Tone Arm Holding clip to the right to release the Tone arm. Lift the Tone
arm off its rest (6) and move it towards the Turntable Platter (1) and over
edge of the record to be played. Lower the Tone arm by gently pulling the
Cue Lever (4) forward. The record will start playing.
5) Adjust the OFF/ VOLUME control (27) to the desired level.
6) When the record finishes playing, the tone arm will return to its rest position
(6) automatically. However, the TONE ARM (7) may not always return to its
original position due to the non-standard record length. See **Note below.
8) To turn the system ‘OFF’, rotate the OFF/VOLUME control knob (27)
in an anti-clockwise direction until a “click” is heard.
Note**: There is a Tone Arm Adjustment Hole on the rear of the cabinet
(30/31). Please read additional instructions in the ‘IMPORTANT NOTES‘ in this
Manual on how to adjust the tone arm “pick up”.
