IMPORTANT!!
TO PROTECT THE TURNTABLE FROM DAMAGE DURING
TRANSPORTATION, IT IS LOCKED INTO POSITION WITH A SILVER
TRANSIT SCREW, LOCATED IN THE UPPER RIGHT HAND
CORNER OF THE TURNTABLE PLATFORM.
BEFORE USING THE TURNTABLE, UNLOCK IT TO ALLOW THE
PLATTER TO “FLOAT” BY USING A SCREWDRIVER TO TURN THE
TRANSIT SCREW DOWN COMPLETELY, IN A CLOCKWISE
DIRECTION.
TO LOCK THE TURNTABLE AGAIN FOR TRANSPORTATION, TURN
THE SCREW IN AN ANTI-CLOCKWISE DIRECTION.
ADJUSTMENT FOR EARLY/LATE PICK-UP OF RECORD TONE ARM
Should you find that the record Tone Arm (2) is picking up before the end of the
record, this may be due to movement in transit or the extended non-standard
length of some records. Adjust the pick up time as follows:
1. Unplug the unit from the mains
supply.
2. Rotate the unit so you can access
the rear of the unit.
3. Use the screwdriver provided, and
insert this into the hole (30), as
indicated by the label on the back
of the unit. See Fig 1.
4. Shine a torch light or similar into
the second hole (31) to help locate
the adjustment screw. See Fig 2.
5. When playing a record the arm is
picking up too early, you need to
locate the screw as instructed
above, rotate the screw clockwise by approximately 1/4 turn only.
6. Reconnect the unit to the power supply.
7. Replay the record to see if the adjustment has been successful.
8. If the record still picks up too early, make another adjustment, as before, but
in very small movements. Remember to disconnect from the mains supply
before attempting this.
9. Should the unit fail to pick up, make the adjustment by rotating the screw
anti-clockwise - but again, only a very small movement is required.
