WATER FORDING 650/800/850 GUEPARD
63
Water fording
This vehicle category T3b may ford slow flow
water obstacles up to 38 cm deep. Prior to
entering the water, select the route carefully. Avoid
areas with steep soundings, large stones or other
obstacles, which may cause the vehicle slipping or
turning over. Move slowly and carefully.
____________________________
Do not ford water obstacles with ast flow or
with the depth exceeding the value indicated
herein.
Always remember that wet braking gears are
inefficient.
Make sure to check the brakes upon exiting
from water. If necessary, push the brake
several times to dry the brake linings. When
trying to ford a deep water obstacle with a fast
flow, the tires may float up causing a loss of
wheels adherence, steering response impairing,
leading to an accident.
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Make sure to check the brakes upon exiting from
water. Do not continue driving until you make sure
that the braking system efficiency is completely
restored.
