• Thread ignition lead through the
hole.
• Fit the spiked bumper (1).
• Tighten the screws (2) firmly.
• Use press sleeve (2) to press
roller bearing (1) as far as stop
into clutch side of crankcase.
Lubricate bearing with oil.
• Coat thread of stud with Loctite -
see 11.2.
• Use M8 stud puller to screw in
stud as far as stop.
• Place bumper strips in position
and press them home as far as
they will go.
• Push pickup body (1) through the
hole and locate the flange (2) on
the suction hose in the hole.
• Push the impulse hose onto the
nipple.
• Pass short circuit wire (1)
through hole and fit the
grommets (2 and 3).
• Use a 7 mm (0.3") drift to careful-
ly push home the valve (small
diameter facing up) until it is re-
cessed about 1 mm (0.04") below
the housing face.
