Master
Control
The
Master
Control
lever
(1)
controls
the
various
engine
functions.
Depending
on
its
position,
it
acts
on
the
carbu-
retor’s
choke
valve,
the
throttle
trigger
(2)
or
the
ground
contact
(for
stopping
the
engine).
Note
the
following
when
operating
the
Master
Control
lever:
The
position
between
“START”
and
“STOP”
is
the
normal
operating
position.
The
safety
throttle
lock
(3)
must
be
pressed
down
before
the
Master
Control
lever
(1)
is
moved
from
the
normal
operating
position
to
“START”.
It
is
possible
to
move
from
“START”
to
“CHOKE”
or
vice
versa
without
touching
any
other
controls.
In
the
“START”
position
the
choke
valve
is
open
and
the
throttle
trigger
is
in
the
starting-throttle
position.
When
in
this
position,
the
Master
Control
lever
(1)
is
locked
by
the
throttle
lever
and
must
not
be
forced
into
the
normal
operating
position.
It
returns
automatically
to
the
normal
operating
position
as
soon
as
the
throttle
trigger
(2)
is
squeezed.
In
the
“CHOKE”
position
(cold
start)
the
choke
valve
is
closed
and
the
throttle
trigger
is in
the
starting-throttle
position.
In
the
“STOP”
position
the
ground
contact
engages
the
contact
spring
this
cuts
out
the
ignition
system.
