Mounting the Blade
When using nylon line mowing heads
The deflector for metal mowing
attachments (1) must be equipped with
the line limiter blade (4) when you use
nylon line mowing heads.
N Push the blade (4) into the upper
guide slot (5) on the skirt (2) and
line it up with the first hole.
N Insert the screw and tighten it down
firmly.
Placing power tool on the ground
N Shut off the engine.
N Lay your power tool on its back so
that the cutting attachment
mounting face is pointing up.
Mounting Hardware
The mounting hardware supplied
depends on the cutting attachment that
comes as original equipment with the
new machine.
The mounting hardware is fitted to the
gearbox for transportation and must be
removed before mounting a cutting
attachment.
Removing the Mounting Hardware
N Block the shaft.
N Use the combination wrench (1) to
loosen and remove the nut (2)
clockwise.
N Remove the rider plate (3) and
thrust washer (4) (where fitted).
Checking the Thrust Plate
The thrust plate is necessary for
mounting all cutting attachments to the
gearbox.
