4 Safety Precautions
4.8.3 Pushback
The pole pruner is pushed back toward the operator when
the top of the bar is used for cutting.
WARNING
If the rotating chain makes contact with a hard object and
is suddenly pinched, the pole pruner is abruptly pushed
back toward the operator. The user can lose control of the
pole pruner and be seriously injured.
Always hold your pole pruner firmly with both hands.
Use the working techniques described in this instruction
manual.
Keep the guide bar straight in the cut.
Always cut with the chain running at full speed.
4.9 Transporting
4.9.1 Pole Pruner
WARNING
The pole pruner may turn over or shift during transport.
Persons may be injured or property damaged.
Fit the chain scabbard so that it completely covers the
guide bar.
Secure the pole pruner with lashing straps or a net to
prevent it from turning over and moving.
4.9.2 Battery
WARNING
The battery is not protected against all ambient
conditions. The battery may be damaged if it is exposed to
certain ambient conditions and damage to property may
occur.
Never transport a damaged battery.
Store the battery in non-conductive packaging.
The battery may turn over or shift during transport. This
may result in personal injuries and damage to property.
Pack the battery in packaging in such a way that it
cannot move.
Secure the packaging so that it cannot move.
4.10 Storing
4.10.1 Pole Pruner
WARNING
Children are not aware of and cannot assess the dangers
of the pole pruner and can be seriously injured.
Fit the chain scabbard so that it completely covers the
guide bar.
Store the pole pruner out of the reach of children.
