: Remove the sleeve from the tool.

: Attach the snap ring (1) to the
magnet (2) so that the snap ring
gap is on the flat side of the tool's
shank.

: Push the large slotted diameter of
the sleeve over the magnet and
snap ring. Position the sleeve so
that the inner pin (1) points
toward the flat face (2) of tool's
shank.

: Stand the installing tool, sleeve
downward, on a flat surface
(wooden board) and press
vertically downwards until the
sleeve butts against the tool's
shoulder.

: Remove the sleeve and slip it
onto the other end of the shank.
Inner pin must again point toward
flat face.

: Apply the installing tool to the
piston boss, hold the piston
steady, center the tool shank
exactly and press home until the
snap ring slips into the groove.

Fit the snap rings so that their gaps
are on the piston's vertical axis (they
must point either up or down – see
arrow).
Install the piston – b 6.5.
