If the issue persists, the high-pressure pump may be leaky, or the valves may be defective.

Also, check if the mains circuit-breaker has been tripped—if so, switch off the machine, actuate the spray gun until water only drips out, engage the safety catch, and then reset the circuit-breaker. Finally, make sure to actuate the spray gun when switching on the machine.
