Why is my Stihl Pressure Washer motor humming but not running?

  The Stihl Pressure Washer motor may hum but not run due to several reasons. Ensure the power cord is properly plugged into the wall socket and that the mains voltage is correct. Check the electrical connection, plug, cable, and switch for any issues. If you're using an extension cord, make sure it has a sufficient cross-section. Try connecting the machine directly without an extension cord. Also, the mains circuit-breaker might have been tripped. In that case, switch off the machine, actuate the spray gun until water only drips out of the head, engage the safety catch, and reset the mains circuit-breaker. Finally, make sure to actuate the spray gun when switching on the machine.

Check if the high-pressure nozzle in the spray head is dirty and clean it if necessary. Also, the high-pressure nozzle might be worn and need replacement. Clean the screens in the intake of the water tank or high-pressure pump if they are clogged.
