11 Installing the Perimeter Wire
Install the perimeter wire(1) with a minimum length of
b=3.3ft. (1m) and with a distance of d=0.4in. (1cm) in
between.
Fasten the perimeter wire to the ground with two wire
stakes at the edge(A). Do not cross the perimeter wires.
Keep them parallel.
Attach the search loop to the ground with a sufficient
number of wire stakes.
To install a search loop in combination with an external
docking station:
Install two search loops(1), each at a 90° angle on the left
and right side of the docking station.
Keep a minimum clearance of a=6.6ft. (2m) from the
docking station.
To install a search loop in combination with a corridor:
Install two search loops(1) at an angle of 90° in the part
of the mowing area that can only be reached via a corridor.
Keep a minimum clearance of a=6.6ft. (2m) from the
corridor entrance.
11.9 Installing Linking Sections
A linking section links a secondary area to the primary
mowing area, e.g. a mowing area in front of and behind the
house that the iMow cannot travel to on its own. This allows
both mowing areas to be mowed automatically.
Route the perimeter wire(1) parallel and close to one
another.
Attach the linking section to the ground with a sufficient
number of wire stakes(2).
