11. Backplate
11.1 Backplate, SR 430
– Remove the shroud, b 4.4
– Remove the filter housing, b 9.4
– Remove the fuel tank, b 9.12
– Remove the blower housing,
b 10.7
: Grip the top of the protective
screen (1) and pull it away.
: Pull the protective screen (1) out
of the slots (arrows).
– Inspect harness straps and
transfer if necessary, b 11.3

Installing
: Push lugs of protective screen
into the slots (arrows).
: Place the protective screen (1) in
position so that the lugs (arrow)
engage the guides (2).
: Push the spring seats (1) into the
seats (arrow).

: Push top of protective screen (1)
into position until it snaps into
place.
– Install the blower housing,
b 10.7
– Reassemble all other parts in the
reverse sequence.
11.2 Backplate, SR 450
– Remove the filter housing, b 9.4
– Remove the fuel tank, b 9.12
– Remove the blower housing,
b 10.8
: Grip the top of the protective
screen (1) and pull it away.
