5. Transport and Storage
NOTE:
Store the packing box and foam packaging for future use.
Failure to use the original packaging and fittings could cause
damage and will void the warranty.
Follow these steps:
 Disconnect the power supply and empty the cooling tank.
 The specimen holder arm must be in its upright position during
transport.
 Move it to its new position.
If the machine is bound for long-time storage or shipping, follow
these steps:
 Disassemble the machine, clean and dry it thoroughly.
 Place the machine in a plastic bag with bags of desiccant (silica
gel) and seal it tight.
 Wrap the specimen holder arm in bubble wrap.
 Place all loose parts in a zip bag.
 Secure the machine in the cardboard box using the foam
packaging.
 Place the accessories and other loose items in the box.
 Close the box.
At the new location, check that:
 The facilities required are in place.
