Caution:
Wait until the stove has cooled down completely before
carrying out maintenance.
Maintenance of the metal components
Use a dry cloth for cleaning.
Note:
A paint spray supplied with the stove means you can retouch
the paintwork if necessary. When you do this, start on a test
surface to avoid spraying solvent on the old paintwork. The
surface to be repainted must be smooth, clean, dry and free
from grease. Please also read the instructions on the paint
spray.
Cleaning of glasses
The use of oven cleaning products will cause rapid destruction
of the seals. Use cleaning products intended for ordinary glass
to clean the inside of the glass door.
Dry the pane thoroughly as smoke settles on greasy residue.
Stûv supplies a product suitable for cleaning very dirty stoves.
Ask your distributor for advice.
Removal of ashes
Leave a bed o
f ashes at the bottom of the stove as this
encourages combustion and still contains some
fuel. Ashes must be removed when: there is a risk of
obstructing the fire's supply of fresh air.
Ashes shall be removed and placed in a steel container with a
tightly fiting lid and moved outdoors immediately. Other
waste shall not be placed in this container.

Entretien des parties métalliques
Nettoyer avec un chiffon sec.
Remarque
Une bombe de peinture fournie avec l’appareil permet
d’effectuer des retouches si nécessaire. Pour ce faire, amorcer
sur une surface de test pour éviter de pulvériser du solvant sur
l’ancienne peinture. La surface à repeindre doit être
dégraissée, lisse, propre et sèche. Se référer également à la
notice d’utilisation de la bombe de peinture.
Entretien des vitres
L'usage de produits décapants pour four provoque une
destruction rapide des joints. Pour nettoyer la face intérieure
de la vitre, utiliser les produits d'entretien prévus pour les vitres
ordinaires.
Bien sécher la vitre car les résidus graisseux fixent les fumées.
En cas de fortes salissures, Stûv propose un produit adapté.
Demander conseil à votre revendeur.
Décendrage
Laisser au fond du foyer un lit de cendres qui favorise la
combustion et contient encore du combustible.
Il faut décendrer quand il y a un risque d’obstruer
l’alimentation du feu en air frais.
Les cendres devraient êtres retirées et placées dans un
contenant métallique à fermeture étanche et déplacées
immédiaement à l’extérieur. Aucun autre déchet ne doit être
placé dans ce contenant.
