uick maintenance of the flue
Stûv recommends the use of a product that decomposes soot
every 15 times of use, in particular if you are burning wood
that is not particularly dry. Please refer to the instructions for
use of the product. Use a product that is compatible with the
type of flue
.
Annual maintenance
Caution:
Wait un
til the stove has cooled down completely before
carrying out maintenance.
Do not forget, once a year, to:
– sweep your c
himney,
– clean betw
een the fixed part of the stove and the drum
;
– check the co
ndition of the
seals ;
– clean the
space beneath the ash pan.

applicable local and national regulations.
Pass on this information to the chimney sweep.
Before carr

out the actual sweepin
, Stûv recommends the
use of a dose of fulgent (see “Quick maintenance of the flue”
item in the previous section).
Consult the instructions on the product for use. Use a product
suitable for the type of chimney flue.
Whatever method is used to sweep the chimney, the smoke
deflector parts must be removed.
Before doing so:
– Place the
stove in the closed-door position [photo 1].
– Close the damper by sliding it completely to the left
[photo 2].

complet.
Ne pas oublier, une fois par an de :
- ramoner votre cheminée,
- nettoyer entre la partie fixe du foyer et le tambour,
- vérifier l'état des joints,
- nettoyer l'espace sous le cendrier

e au moins une fois par an conformément
aux règlements locaux et nationaux en vigueur.
Transmettre cette notice au ramoneur.
Avant d’effectuer le ramonage proprement dit, Stûv préconise
l’usage d’une dose de fulgurant (voir «Petit entretien du
conduit de cheminée», au chapitre précédent).
