  When Adaptive Cruise Control is activated, the EyeSight system controls the car based on the movement of vehicles or objects in front. As a result, acceleration and deceleration may be more frequent while the system adjusts to vehicles or objects the camera system is detecting. If maintaining a consistent following distance is difficult under certain conditions (such as in heavy traffic, poor weather, or urban environments), it is advised not to use Adaptive Cruise Control.
