4. Below 40°F (4°C) use starting aid (per instruc-
tions printed on starting aid device).
5. Turn engine switch to the “ignition” position.
6. Turn engine switch to “start” position and hold
until engine starts (maximum 15 seconds).
7. When engine coolant temperature reaches
110°F (43°C), turn arrow on start-run valve han-
dle upward to “RUN” position.
8. Compressor is now ready for full load operation.
4.5 SHUTDOWN PROCEDURE
To shut the compressor down, close the service
valves and turn the start/run control valve to the
“start” position. Run compressor for approximately
5 minutes; then turn the “on/off” switch to the “off”
position. In case of emergency where immediate
shutdown is required, this procedure is not neces-
sary. The “on/off” switch should be put in the “off”
position immediately.
