the wye to delta starter transition. This can also be
used to control the closed inlet valve with other motor
controls.
Cost per KWH—Available only with VSD equipped
machines. Sets the KWH cost value, in dollars or
other currency, used in operating cost calculations.
Modulation—Assigns the manner in which the
machine will be delivering air (Load/Unload or
Modulate).
Mode—Assigns the desired mode for controlling the
compressor motor operation (Automatic or Manual).
ADJUSTING SEQUENCE PARAMETERS
This group of adjustments set the controller for
operation with other Sullair compressors or for
remote control. Refer to the WS Controller
Sequencing and Protocol Manual for the principles of
operating compressors in sequence. Section 4.6 of
this manual describes the features of the Sequence
System Display which allows the user to monitor the
operation of all the compressors connected in
sequence. To configure a machine for sequencing
operation:
1. Click in the “Sequence Mode” field to select
the mode by which sequencing of the com-
pressor is to be controlled. See Figure 4-12.
a. Select “Disabled” when no sequencing
is desired. The machine will not operate
in sequence with other machines. The
compressor can still be operated as a
stand alone machine.
b. Select “Remote” when the compressor
is to be controlled remotely by the PC or
other remote connection.
The Administrator may set the controller
for remote unloading via modbus. If so,
an additional button labeled “Unload” will
appear under the “Connection” button in
the Status Bar when “Remote” mode is
selected. See Figure 4-13.
When active, the allows the Load/Unload
operation of the compressor to be manu-
ally controlled. A bright yellow box next
to the Unload button indicates that the
machine is being forced to unload. When
the button is inactive, indicated by a
darkened yellow box next to the button,
the machine will operate normally.
c. The “Slave” mode is not currently used
in this version. When selected, the con-
troller will behave the same as if “Dis-
abled” is selected.
