2.3 Function Description
2.3.1 Basic Function
Conversion function
The inverter converts DC power from the PV array into grid-compliant AC
power and feeds it into the utility grid.
Data storage
Inverter logs essential data including running information and error records.
Parameter configuration
Inverter provides various parameter configurations for optimal operation. You
can view the parameters via iSolarHome App and set the parameters via
iSolarCloud App or iSolarCloud server (qualified personnel only). In case you
require further settings, please contact SUNGROW.
RS485 communication
The RS485 communication terminal is provided to which communication
module can be connected, thereby achieving the communication function
and connecting the monitoring device to the whole PV system.
It is recommended to use the communication module from
SUNGROW. Using a device from other companies may lead to
communication failure or other unexpected damage.
Further information on the communication module can be found in
the respective Quick Installation Guide.
Earth fault alarm
If an earth fault occurs, the error code will be displayed on the LCD screen.
The buzzer inside the inverter will beep to signal an external alarm.
Protection function
The protective functions are integrated in the inverter, including short circuit
protection, grounding insulation resistance surveillance, residual current
protection, anti-islanding protection, DC overvoltage / over-current protection,
etc.
