Why does my Sunrise spas Hot Tub GFCI or RCD shut off (not on initial start-up)?
    • U
      uhowardAug 18, 2025
If the Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) or Residual Current Detector (RCD) shuts off (not on initial start-up) in your Sunrise spas Hot Tub, it could be due to one or more pieces of equipment shorting to ground, or the total current draw exceeding the GFCI/RCD rating. Contact your dealer and DO NOT use the spa. Take measures to ensure others do not use the spa.

    • D
      Donna JarvisAug 23, 2025
If there is no air/water mixture coming from a jet in your Sunrise spas Hot Tub, check the following: * Ensure the air control is open. * Increase water volume by turning the jet face if the water volume through the jet is too low to draw air. * Tighten the jet internal if it is loose. * If the jet internal is broken or damaged, replace it with another one from the spa or with a new one. * Remove the internal, inspect for debris, remove debris and re-install if debris is inside the jet internal. • S
      Steven ElliottNov 5, 2025
If your Sunrise spas Hot Tub is completely dead, with no circulation and no display on the topside control panel, there are several potential causes: * The GFCI/RCD may have tripped. Try resetting it and monitor for future trips. If the problem persists, contact your dealer. * The breaker or fuse before the GFCI/RCD may be tripped or blown. Shut off the GFCI/RCD, reset the breaker or replace the fuse, then reset the GFCI/RCD and test. If the problem continues, contact an electrician or your dealer. * The transformer fuse in the spa pack may be blown. Locate the fuse in the spa pack, test and/or replace it. If the heat in your Sunrise spas Hot Tub is too low, consider the following: * Check that the set point is at the desired level and change it if necessary. * Ensure the spa is covered when not in use to retain heat. * Verify the circulation pump is running. Check if valves on the circulation pump/heater system are open and if the circulation pump is plugged in or if the circulation pump fuse in the spa pack is burnt out. * If there's an error message, check for open gate valves, ensure the water level is correct, and inspect the filter cartridge(s). Turn the spa power off and on. If the error persists, contact your dealer. * The system input current setting may be restricting heater operation. Danny GriffinNov 13, 2025
If the jets in your Sunrise spas Hot Tub do not come on when the pump key is pressed, consider these possibilities: 1. Ensure the jet pump is plugged into the spa pack. If not, plug it in and test. 2. Check the jet pump fuse in the spa pack. Locate and test/replace the pump fuse. If the problem persists, contact your dealer. 3. The jet pump may not be primed. Shut off the spa to allow trapped air to escape, then restart it. If the problem continues, bleed air at the pump directly by opening the union until all entrapped air is released, then retest. 4. Check if the individually adjustable volume jets are set to low volume. Turn the face of the jet to increase water volume. 5. Ensure the air control is open to allow air/water mix. 6.
