Filter FAQs
How oen should I clean my lters?
This will depend on your usage, but we recommend
you clean them at least once every fortnight.
Heavy usage will mean your lters clog up quicker.
However, the situaon is dierent when you ll your
hot tub for the rst me, or whenever you drain and
rell your hot tub. In this instance, the lters may
clog up within three–four days because of the small
parcles contained in tap water and any parcles
from manufacturing/transport.
What will happen if I don’t clean my lters
regularly enough?
Failure to clean your lters may restrict water ow
causing the hot tub to automacally shut down. The
following diagnosc messages may appear on your
touch pad if your lters are dirty; FLO, Heater Dry, LF,
DR, OHH, or -- (two lines). To conrm that the lters
are the cause of the problem, remove them and run the
hot tub for a few minutes to see if the message clears.
If the message sll does not clear, try switching the
hot tub o whilst the lters are removed, and then
back on again.
Please note, you MUST NOT run the hot tub without
lters. If the message sll appears aer trying these
measures, please contact a member of the Superior
Wellness team to arrange a visit from a technician.
How do I clean my lters?
To clean your lters, we recommend using a hot tub
lter cleaner. For opmum results, spray the lter
evenly with an instant lter cleaner, wait 15 minutes
and then rinse the lter with a hose. An addional
recommended cleaning method is to soak the lters in
a bucket overnight with a lter cleaner soluon. This
soluon breaks down oils from the pleats and gives the
lter a deep clean. Please ensure your lter is air dry
before placing back into your hot tub
What lters do I need for my hot tub?
Each hot tub model is dierent; therefore, it is
important you use the correct lter for the hot tub
you’ve purchased. Please refer to our Hot Tub Care
and Maintenance guide to check which lter you need.
Keeping your lters clean is vital for the safety and longevity of your hot tub.
Make sure you dedicate me to cleaning your lters to help keep the water
in your hot tub fresh and sanised.
TOP TIP:
It’s good pracce to have mulple lters.
When you carry out a drain and rell
of your hot tub (and a chemical soak),
replace with your other lter. Alternate
the lters each me you do this.
TOP TIP:
Never leave your hot tub without
a lter inside of it unless you have
emped the spa.
CHEMICAL RINSE
WEEKLY
Remove the lter(s) from your hot tub
and rinse with clean water (either use
a hose pipe or clean them in a bucket)
Spread apart each pleat and rinse well to
get rid of any dirt, hair or debris
Spray with rapid lter cleaning spray,
then leave for 20 minutes before
rinsing thoroughly
For maximum ltraon benet and to
maintain the cleanest possible water,
your hot tub lter should be changed
every 26 weeks
Replacement lters can be purchased
directly through Superior Wellness or your
authorised Superior Wellness retailer
FILTER REPLACEMENT
6 MONTHS
You should change your hot tub water
at least every 3 months. Whilst doing
this, we recommend giving your lters a
thorough chemical soak
To complete a chemical soak, you will need
to use a hot tub lter cleaning chemical
Dilute the chemical with water according
to the direcons on the bole, making
sure you use enough water to completely
submerge the lter
Leave the lter to rest in the soluon
overnight. The next day, rinse your lter
well and leave to dry
