TROUBLESHOOTING
If you experience any problems with your hot tub please do not
hesitate to contact your authorised hot tub retailer.
Problem Probable Causes Troubleshoong Soluons
The hot tub is inoperave Power failure
The breaker has tripped
Heater’s high-limit thermostat has tripped
Hot tub lock is acvated
Check for problems with your power source
Reset the breaker
Disconnect the power for 30 seconds to reset the thermostat;
then check for clogged lters
Deacvate the hot tub lock
Hot tub won’t heat, even while the jets
and lights operate
Air lock was created aer lling with water
Blocked lters
Failed air circulaon pump or heater
Remove air locks by loosening pump and/or heater unions
Check for blocked lters, try removing lter and see if it heats okay
Check for water movement
Put pump on/o quickly about 10 mes to move air in system
Jet operaon is weak or surging Water level is too low
Filters are clogged
Air control lever is closed
Add water to the hot tub
Clean the lters
Open the air control lever
Turn individual jets if not working
Light is inoperave Spa lock is acvated
Light wiring or assembly is faulty
Deacvate the spa lock
Replace the light assembly
Flo, Htr dry, Dr, Dy displayed Filters may be blocked
Circulaon pump may have failed
Check and replace/clean lters if needed
Is the water in the spa moving?
Put pump on/o quickly about 10 mes to move air in system

Suspended parcles / organic maer.
Overused or old water
Shock spa with sanizer
Add sanizer
Adjust pH &/or alkalinity range
Run jet pump(s)
Drain and rell the hot tub
Water odour Excessive organics in water
Improper sanisaon
Low pH
Shock spa with sanizer
Add sanizer
Adjust pH to rec range
Chlorine odour Chlorine levels too high
Low pH
Shock spa with sanizer
Adjust pH to recommended range
Musty odour Bacteria or algae growth Shock spa with saniser
(if problem is visible or persistent, drain, clean and rell the spa)
Organic build up or ring around spa Build-up of oils and dirt Wipe o scum with clean rag
(if scum ring around spa is severe, drain the spa, use a spa
surface and le cleaner to remove the scum and rell the spa)
Algae growth High pH
Low sanizer level
Shock spa with sanizer & adjust pH
Shock spa with sanizer
Maintain sanizer level
Eye irritaon Low pH
Low sanizer level
Adjust pH
Shock spa with sanizer
Maintain sanizer level
Skin irritaon / rash Unsanitary water
Free chlorine level above 5ppm
Shock spa with sanizer
Maintain sanizer level
Allow free chlorine level to drop below 5ppm before spa use
Stains Total alkalinity and pH too low
High iron or copper in water source
Adjust total alkalinity and/or pH
Use a metal deposit inhibitor
Scale High calcium content in water
Total alkalinity and pH too high
Adjust total alkalinity and pH
If scale requires removal, drain the spa, scrub o the scale,
rell the spa and balance the water
