• Make sure there are no objects to obstruct airow in and out of the server.
• Use only recommended server parts.
• Make sure no wires or foreign objects obstruct air ow through the chassis. Pull
all excess cabling out of the airow path, or use shorter cables.
• The control panel LEDs inform you of system status. See “Chapter 3: System
Interface” for details.
6-7 Power Supply
The SC505 chassis includes a single 200 watt power supply. This power supply has
an auto-switching capability, which enables it to automatically sense and operate
at a 100V - 240V input voltage.
If the power supply unit fails, the system will shut down and you must replace the
unit. Replacement units can be ordered directly from Supermicro.
