1-3 Server Chassis Features
The following is a general outline of the main features of the SC842XTQ-R606B
server chassis.
System Power
The SC842XTQ-R606B features a redundant 600W high-efciency power supply
composed of two separate power modules. This power redundancy feature allows
you to replace a failed power supply without shutting down the system.
SATA Subsystem
The SC842XTQ-R606B supports up to ve 3.5" SATA drives. These drives are
hot-swappable units and are connected to a backplane that provides power and
control. Three additional 5.25" drive bays are included, which are not hot-swappable.
Front Control Panel
The control panel on the SuperServer 6048R-TXR provides you with system
monitoring and control. LEDs indicate system power, HDD activity, network activity,
system overheat/fan fail and power supply failure. The main power button and a
system reset button are also located here.
Cooling System
The SC842XTQ-R606B chassis has an innovative cooling design that includes one
9-cm front intake fan and two 8-cm rear exhaust fans. The power supply module
also includes a cooling fan.
