Security Function
Select Set Password to set an HDD/SATA password which allows you to congure the security
settings of the HDD/SATA device. Select Security Erase - Password to enter a SATA user
password to allow you to erase the password and the contents previously stored in the HDD/
SATA device. Select Security Erase - Without Password to use the manufacturer default
password "111111111" as the SATA user password and allow you to erase the contents of the
HDD/SATA device by using this default password. The options are Disable, Set Password,
Security Erase - Password, Security Erase - PSID, and Security Erase - Without Password.
Note: The option of Security Erase - PSID is based on the storage device support.
PSID is the abbreviation for Physical Security Identication.
Password
Use this feature to set the SATA user password which allows you to congure the Supermicro
Security Erase settings by using the SATA user password.
New Password (Available when "Password" above has been set)
Use this feature to set the new user password for the storage device which allows you to
congure the Supermicro Security Erase settings by using this new user password.
Lockdown Mode (Available when the DCMS key is activated)
Select Enabled to support Lockdown Mode that will prevent the existing data or keys stored
in the system from being altered or changed in an eort to preserve system integrity and
security. The options are Disabled and Enabled.
HDD Security Conguration:
Px: (Storage Device Name)
This section is available when the storage device is detected by the BIOS. Select this device.
Press <Enter> and the following information is displayed:
