Function Description
The Supersonic SC-2814 is a versatile portable device designed for entertainment on the go. Its primary function is to act as a 14-inch LED television, capable of receiving over-the-air ATSC TV broadcasts and cable TV signals. Beyond its TV capabilities, it also serves as a digital multimedia player, allowing users to enjoy various media files from external storage devices. The device supports multiple input sources, including HDMI, VGA, and AV, making it compatible with a wide range of external media players and devices. Additionally, it features an FM radio receiver, expanding its entertainment options. The built-in rechargeable lithium battery ensures portability, allowing for use in locations without direct power access, such as in vehicles or outdoors.
Usage Features
The SC-2814 offers a user-friendly interface with both on-device controls and a remote control for convenient operation.
Power and Display:
- Power/Standby: The device can be turned on or placed in standby mode using the POWER button on the unit or the remote. A power indicator light shows the device's status: green when connected to power and in standby, red when charging, and dark when fully charged.
- TV Display: The 14-inch Color TFT LCD screen provides a clear visual experience for watching TV or multimedia content.
- Mode Button: The MODE button on the device or remote allows users to change the active input source. Pressing it displays a list of modes (TV, VGA, HDMI, AV, FM Radio, MEDIA), which can be browsed using CH+/CH- and selected with OK.

- Picture Mode: Select from preset picture modes (Standard, Soft, User, Vivid) or customize settings like Color Temperature (Warm, User, Cold), Aspect Ratio (Auto, 4:3, 16:9, Zoom1, Zoom2, Panorama), and Noise Reduction (Close, Low, Middle, High).
- Sound Mode: Choose from preset equalizer settings (Standard, Music, Movie, Sports, User) or adjust Balance, Auto Volume, Surround Mode (Open/Close), and Audio Only (to turn off the image signal and only hear audio).
Time and Option Settings:
- Clock: Set the current date and time.
- Off/On Time: Schedule automatic TV shut-off or turn-on times.
- Sleep Timer: Set a timer for the TV to automatically turn off.
- Auto Sync: Synchronizes the system time with the time carried by the antenna signal (cable or air).
- Time Zone: Adjusts the time zone to match the user's location.
- OSD Language: Sets the display language for on-screen menus.
- Setup Wizard: An on-screen guide for initial TV setup, including language, time zone, DST, time format, and channel scanning.
- Restore Factory Default: Resets all options to their factory settings.
- TTS (Text to Speech): Converts normal language text to speech.
Parental Control (Lock):
- Lock System: Enables or disables lock options using a default password (0000).
- Set Password: Allows users to set a new password for security.
- Input Block: Blocks TV or AV modes.
- US/Canada Rating Guidelines: Prevents programs from being viewed based on US TV, MPAA, Canadian English, or French rating guidelines.
- Reset RRT: Refreshes the Rating Region Table if issues arise with rating guidelines.
- Unrated: Enables or disables viewing of unrated programs.
FM Radio Receiving:
- FM Radio Mode: Select "FM Radio" mode using the MODE button.
- Scan and Save Channels: Press the RED key on the remote to automatically scan and save FM frequency channels.
