2. Scroll to TONES with [Lap +] and [Light -].
3. Set the tones on or off with [Mode].
4. Press [Start Stop] to exit.
4.3.2 Setting icons
When the icons are enabled and you switch to a mode, a mode icon is briefly shown
on the screen before the main display opens.
To set the icons:
1. In the settings menu, enter GENERAL.
2. Scroll to ICONS with [Lap +] and [Light -].
3. Set the icons on or off with [Mode].
4. Press [Start Stop] to exit.
4.3.3 Setting backlight
You can set the backlight on or off and adjust the backlight settings of the Suunto t6d
display.
The backlight has three possible settings:

NORMAL: The light switches on when you press [Light -] and stays on for a short
period after the last press of a button.
