8. Pull off the ignition coils.
9. Remove the spark plug with a
spark plug wrench.
Spark Plug Inspection
Make sure that the 1.0 mm (0.04
in) wire-type feeler gauge does
not insert between the spark plug
gap A . If the gauge is inserted
into the gap, replace the plug with
a new one.
CAUTION
Improper removal of ignition
coils can damage the ignition
coils.
Pull off the ignition coils with
your hand. Do not use pliers.
CAUTION
Dirt can damage your engine if
it enters an open spark plug
hole.
Cover the spark plug hole
whenever the spark plug is
removed.
