Removal
1) Drain engine oil
2) Remove the clutch assembly. Refer to “Clutch
Removal and Installation (LT-F400/F) in Section 5C
(Page 5C-3)”.
3) Remove the gearshift cam plate guide (1).
4) Remove the gearshift shaft assembly (2) and
gearshift cam plate (3).
5) Remove the gearshift shaft stopper (4).
6) Remove the spring (5) and gearshift cam stopper
(6).
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order of removal. Pay
attention to the following points:
• Apply a small quantity of thread lock to the thread of
gearshift cam stopper bolt.
: Thread lock cement 99000–32110
(THREAD LOCK CEMENT SUPER 1322 or
equivalent)
• Tighten the nut (1) to the specified torque.
NOTE
Hook the return spring end to the stopper.
Tightening torque
Gearshift cam stopper nut (a): 10 N·m (1.0 kgf-m,
7.0 lb-ft)
