4. Remove the three bolts 3, hold-
ing the filter cover in place.
5. Remove the filter cover 4 and pull
out the old oil filter element 5.
Insert the new oil filter element in
the same position.
6. Check to be sure that the filter
spring 6 and the cap “O” ring 7
are installed correctly.
NOTE: Install a new “O” ring each
time the filter element is replaced.
CAUTION
Failure to insert the new oil filter
element correctly can damage
your ATV.
No oil flow will result if the ele-
ment is inserted backwards.
Engine damage will occur from no
oil flow.
Be sure to insert the open end of
the new oil filter element into the
engine.
