2. Loosen the bolt 3, 4.
3. Adjust the slack in the drive chain
by turning the chain adjuster nuts
5 equally to tighten or slacken the
chain.
4. When proper slack is obtained,
tighten the bolt 3, 4.
Bolt tightening torque
3: 120 N·m (12.0 kgf-m, 87.0 lb-ft)
4: 94 N·m (9.4 kgf-m, 68.0 lb-ft)
5. Tighten the adjusting nuts 5.
6. Check the brake lever travel as
shown on page 6-24. Adjust the
brake if necessary.
WARNING
Failure to inspect the drive chain
slack before each use of the ATV
could be hazardous.
Too much chain slack could cause
the chain to come off the sprock-
ets, resulting in an accident or
serious damage to the ATV.
Inspect the drive chain slack
before each use.
