TROUBLESHOOTING
DESCRIPTION
This troubleshooting guide is provided to
help you find the cause of some common
complaints.
Consult your dealer if your motorcycle is
experiencing any issues or you notice some-
thing seems wrong.
ENGINE DOES NOT START
Perform the following checks.
Make sure you are using the correct
starting procedure.
See “STARTING PROCEDURE” on
page 2-97.
Make sure the fuel tank has fuel.
See “REFUELING PROCEDURE” on
page 2-104.
Check if the malfunction indicator light
comes on.
See “MALFUNCTION INDICATOR
LIGHT” on page 2-28.
Check if the immobilizer indicator light
comes on.
See “IMMOBILIZER (if equipped)” on
page 2-90.
Check for loose battery terminals.
See “BATTERY” on page 3-14.
Are any fuses blown?
See “FUSES” on page 3-83.
Consult your dealer if you notice any fail-
ures/issues.

some cases damage may not be covered
by the warranty.
